To know for sure if you’re pregnant, start with a lab-quality test that is over 99% accurate in detecting pregnancy hormones. At Life Choices, [free and confidential pregnancy tests](https://lifechoicesncla.org/free-pregnancy-tests?hsLang=en) are provided by registered nurses, and insurance is not required. If eligible, you may also receive a limited ultrasound to confirm how far along you are. - When did I conceive? On average, ovulation happens during a two-to three-day window in each cycle, **usually about two weeks after your last period begins**. Tracking your cycle can give a rough estimate of when conception occurred. An ultrasound is a more reliable way to measure gestational age since fetal growth follows a steady pattern. This provides a clearer window of when conception likely happened. - Does abortion hurt? The level of pain a woman may feel during an abortion is **different for each person**. It depends on her body, her pain tolerance, and how she responds to the procedure.
